Special Police Officers also referred to as School Safety Officers are an essential group of individuals who provide support in de-escalating and resolving some of the Hartford Public Schools most hostile situations. However, in times of lesser conflict, SPOs service as the next level of response outside a classroom to identifying and servicing our student population.
